Most times we try and record the songs that we sing while talking and preparing for our workshops.

SAARI DUNIYA BOL RAHI HAI

Zakhir Bhai, our youngest participant decided to make a song on cricket since he says the only thing he is interested in after, his love for his instrument (bhapang) is “kirkitt”.

AE RI MAHRI PHOOLJADHI

Rajesh Bhai has made a song around the theme – motorcycle. The song is a conversation between a couple from a village. The husband has bought a new motorcycle and the wife seems unhappy about it. He has tried to bring up issues from his community like, husbands selling their wife’s belongings to buy what they want, about men not wanting to follow traffic rules and about reaffirming the dependence of a family on the woman of the house. The lyrics might not literally translate to all this, but when he talks about the song, he says this is what he has kept in mind.

“UP TO DENT”

CHEENTI HAANTHI KI KAHANi

This is a story of an ant and an elephant. The wife elephant is telling the husband elephant about her encounter with the ant. The ant decides to teach the elephant a lesson my climbing up her trunk. The elephant goes mad trying to get rid off it, realizing that no one is big and small and even the smallest creature has its own strengths.
